  1. Dear Fred and Elizabeth,

It is great to hear from you. I am excited to know you will be here in Oklahoma City next week.

Please let us know how would you like us to assist you. We will be more than happy to arrange accommodations, repair/service of your 220S at the local Mercedes dealership and anything else that you might need. If you can let me know of your possible itinerary
we can arrange anything you want ahead of time and make your stay here comfortable.
One thing is for sure we are quite cold this week and beginning of the next week, may get a light snow here in OKC area over the weekend.

    Best regards,

    Masood

  2. Dear Elizabeth and Fred,

we just want to let you know, that we (my boyfriend Jens and I) have seen you both in your great car a few times in the different National Parks in September 2014. In Arches National Park we took a picture of your Mercedes with this website on it – great idea!
We hope, you are still in time and have a lot of fun on your awesome trip – we definitely had!

Best regards from Germany, marry Christmas and a great start in 2015
    Jens & Katja

    1. Dear Katja, many thanks for your supportive message; much appreciated. All the very best wishes to you and Jens for a great 2015! Best regards, Elisabeth and Fred.

  3. I just read the article about your epic endeavor in “The Star” magazine. I do hope that you make it to British Columbia, Canada to tour our wonderful scenic landscape. Your story reminds me of another German car that made the journey around the world 3 times. Paul Loofs drove his 1958 VW Beetle all over the globe. There is a documentary on it as well called “The story of VIN 903847”. If I remember correctly he started from BC.
The Beetle is still running today as well with it’s new owner in Quebec.

Best of luck, and I can’t wait to read about your journey.

    1. Hi David, thanks for your message, much appreciated. We are planning to be in BC early July 2015. Maybe we can catch up. Could you please send us an email at Mercedes@ClassicStrider.com with your address? Best regards, Elisabeth and Fred.

  4. It’s been a long time since we met in the Safeway parking lot in Prunedale California, where highways 101 and 156 meet. I think of you everytime I see your card.

I am just using my cell phone browser but I don’t seem any photos or comments about
the interesting people or places you must meet and see. Your plan reminds me of the journey a couple from Chille took. They drove from their country to Alaska in a vintage car with wooden wheels. The swomps around Panama were a bit of a problem.

    Happy travels

  5. Hello,
I talked to you briefly while stuck in traffic on 19th ave in San Francisco. Good luck. I do have a concern about driving through Mexico, central, and South America. Not exactly like driving in Canada.

  6. I saw this very interesting old car driving south on the 5 freeway in California. I had time enough only to take a I phone photo. Love the idea safe travels. Enjoy southern Cali.
